Kanchenjunga means "The Five Treasures of Snows", as it contains five peaks, the entity representing the five stockroom of God, which are gems,, silver, gold ,holy books , and grain.According to archives, the first marketing tea gardens planted out by the British were Steinthal ,Aloobari and Tukvar tea gardens. This was in 1853 and this whole estate used seeds that were built, in the government nurseries.
